Peter takes a patient approach to training young horses and gives them time to learn and develop their potential. He maintains strong partnerships with the European horse community to seek out young prospects. His closest association is with Bosch Sporthorses based in Holland, where prospects can mature until they are ready to travel to the U.S.

An example of Peter’s training success is Chablis, a Württemberger horse he purchased as a 4-year-old and developed into a top hunter and sold to Kelly Tropin-Whitridge. Chablis has earned numerous championships in the 3’6” Amateur Owner Hunters and was named WCHR Hunter of the year in 2021.

Another great find was Excellent, a Dutch Warmblood gelding, who found his winning stride with Peter before being sold to Zanya Riva, who rode him to individual golds, team gold (2021.) and silver (2022) both in the junior and young rider division at the FEI North American Youth Championships.
